I knew this cafe existed in Seoul, but during our last visit to Hongdae, we literally stumbled across it while exploring the neighborhood. We’re a Harry Potter family so there was no question about it - we had to go inside!
Themed treats at 943 King’s Cross
943 King's Cross is much more than a themed cafe. It's an interactive adventure that sends you on a scavenger hunt through the building's many themed floors.
Admission costs 20,000 won for adults and 15,000 won for children, and a drink is included with every ticket. My husband and I each got a butter beer (one nonalcoholic and one with alcohol), London got an Ade with a candy inside, and Millie picked the smoothie topped with candy. Snacks are extra!
Each guest also receives a map - or the Kingscross Cross of Magic Graduation Exam - and a set of dragon stickers to help complete the challenge.
One of the dragon’s you’ll search for at 943 King’s Cross
The goal is to find a hidden dragon on each floor and place the matching sticker in the correct location on your map. While you're searching, be sure to look carefully because each dragon also has a hidden number nearby. Write those numbers down - you'll need them later.
Every floor features a different theme, giving you plenty to explore as you work your way through the scavenger hunt. There are countless photo opportunities, magical details hidden throughout the rooms, and interactive elements that kept our kids excited to see what was waiting on the next level. Each floor also has plenty of seating options so you can choose where to relax with your drink and/or snack.
My kids' favorite part was dressing up in Hogwarts robes and playing with each of the interactive features on each floor. Too bad you can’t wear the robes for the entire time, but there’s only a handful of each and everyone wants a turn!
The scavenger hunt eventually leads to a hidden secret area where you'll be asked to enter a keypad code. That's where all of those dragon numbers come in handy.
Once you’ve finished your graduation exam and your drinks, take your map to the front desk where you’ll turn it in for a prize!
We were here for just about an hour total. Once it started to get busier, we quickly gathered our stuff to head out. It took our drinks about 20 minutes to be ready so keep that in mind. If you order food, you’ll be here longer than we were!
